Public Telephones
The facilities for local and national phone calls are ample. Public telephones, available throughout all the country, operate with money and sometimes pre-paid calling cards.

Telecom, one of the principle telecommunication companies, has a network of offices throughout the country where you can place national and international phone calls.

The companies 007 Mundo, Orbitel 005 and 009 Telecom offer national and international assistance to place phone calls. Telephone public service is another alternative. Companies like MCI, Spring, AT & T sell pre-paid telephone cards.

Internet
Other than hotels, there are places that have public Internet service like Telecom and Internet Cafes, though these aren't as common as in the rest of South America.

Mail
There are post offices throughout the country. Hours: From 09.00 to 17.00, Monday to Friday: and from 08.00 to 12.00 Saturdays. Letters and packages sent by airmail usually take between 5 and 7 days to arrive to their destination.

There are private messenger services that cost a little bit more but are more efficient. Some of the most important ones are: Servientrega, TCC or Velotax. Another option to send mail or packages abroad are companies like FedEx and DHL.
